Fly Fishing on the Logan River

Today while Ashley was competing in Logan with the Viewmont Color Guard, I took Jamison up Logan Canyon to Fish the Logan River. I've never fished this river before, so we didn't know where to go. We pulled into the first campground. As you can see it was a beautiful fall day.

The water in the Logan River was crystal clear. The river next to the campground was fairly difficult to fish because of all the trees and willows next to the river. I had to fish Jamison's line out of the tree on several occasions. We had just over an hour to fish, and we just couldn't find the fish. I later learned that the Cutthroat were running further upstream, just below the Tony's Grove campground. Even though we did not catch anything, it was a great day with my son.
